Doing What I Do Best, Bargain Shopping!

Now that all of the paperwork and medical checks are done,  Russ and I are enjoying a few days of rest in the Beach Rotana Hotel.  Today is the last day of Ramadan and we are so excited.  It has been hard dealing with the heat and not being able to eat or drink in public during the daylight hours.  We have not been able to eat dinner until around 8 p.m. each evening.  The Eid holiday will begin and run for the next 3 days so we will be back to a normal eating schedule after tonight.
I have spent the last day and a half cruising dubizzle.com looking for bargains for our new home.  I have been successful landing a few appliances.  We have a refrigerator ready for pick up on Thursday which will cost us about $100.  The find of the century is an american washer & dryer less than a year old for under $300.  This is fantastic because most people purchase a combo washer and dryer.  They are very small and only finish clothes to a damp state and then they must be hung to dry the rest of the way. The gentleman we are purchasing from also runs a construction/ fix it company and will be able to deliver them as well as the rest of our furniture purchases. I only have a stove left to find.  We are planning on purchasing a used gas stove so that Russ can cook us some healthy meals
We went this morning to visit a dr. and his family who are moving flats and selling off their furniture.  We plan to buy our bedroom furniture, microwave, and living room furniture from his beautiful family. They will be viewing their new furnished home this week and finalizing what pieces they plan to take and sell so he is giving us first dibs.  They had 2 beautiful daughters and the youngest one was around the age of my second graders.  She gave me the fever to get back to work with the kids soon.  She was so shy but waving us out by the time we left.  Hopefully we will be able to share some of the lovely furniture with other families looking to furnish their homes as well.
There are so many things I have at home I wish I had been able to bring.  The thought of buying everything for our home is a daunting job within our budget of $5200.  I just hope I can make it homey and comfy for the kids when they come at Christmas.  Maybe I can have them bring a few things to make it seem more like home when they come.
