Yesterday I spent the whole day going through the medical check. I was scheduled with group 4 leaving at 9:35 but the bus didn't pull out until 10:45. Thank goodness for Bookworm on my iPhone. When we arrived I was handed more paperwork to fill out and I held my passport for a few minutes. I haven't seen it in a few days and was praying someone was taking good care of it during this whole visa process. We had to see a doctor for a consultation. Of course it was a woman. She reviewed my forms and asked about my psoriasis and high cholesterol, listened to my heart, and looked at my back. She then said she had a funny question, was I pregnant? That really was a funny question! Not only No, but hell No! I then sat to wait some more moving through blood draw, urine sample, chest x-ray, and finally finger printing & photo for national id. I did not make it back to the hotel until after 3 p.m. That officially finished all my meetings and testings till August 27 & 28 when we will meet for in services.
Today I spent the morning washing clothes in the bathtub. We are trying to live as frugally as possible here in the 5 star Beach Rotana Hotel where laundry service is super expensive even with a discount. We are not sure when our first pay check will arrive so we are being super careful with the money we brought. Searching for bargain dinners, transportation, and entertainment has been lots of fun. The bus system is super cheap and we use it whenever possible.
